Rapheal Crump is a New Yorker that grew up in an artistic family with roots in graffiti art and relocated to Dallas a couple of years ago. Urbanity, earthly possessions, home and territory - these are his most frequent topics. After years in graphic design, Rapheal works as a full time artist now. He has exhibited numerous times, and among them at Art Basel Miami, has prominent clients and an exceptional work ethic. I know all this first hand, because he is my studio neighbor! And I'm pretty proud of that fact.

Lise Dearborn - from Denmark originally, but living in Dallas since many years, Lise is an expert on many topics like classical music or art history and is also a master of experimentation. I doubt there was a material she hasn't worked with or a method she hasn't tried. Her art has been accepted to numerous juried exhibitions in the US. She is always evolving, never standing still. I found one of her paintings online and wanted to use it for the post, but she had already painted over it. We took an art class together where she had washed her work in the bath tub! With amazing results, too.

Rebekah Lanier - another friend from art class, who was also a great teacher to me. Fresh out of art school and full with ideas, she is great at many subjects but currently focuses on portrait painting, with amazing results, as this new cycle illustrates:
Alex Pass - the astonishing thing about Alex is that his style changes constantly and every time it does, it seems as if that particular style was his favorite. When I met him 4 years ago, he had just arrived in Dallas from Kazakhstan. He was a surrealist. That quickly shifted, when he explored Texas and geometric art. When he met his girlfriend and fellow artist Claudia, that changed again. Now, they mostly paint in a Neo-Pop-Art style and sign every painting they produce together - and they are highly prolific. Now that's relationship and art goals!
